‘The air bites at each breath’ | Fallowfields Has Joined The Michelin Guide

From exciting Michelin news, to announcing our latest menu, we have much to celebrate when it comes to our signature restaurant, Fallowfields. Read along to discover what’s been going on these last couple months.

Fallowfields has joined the Michelin Guide

We are delighted to share the amazing news that our signature restaurant, Fallowfields, has been chosen to join The Michelin Guide’s top 15 new restaurants for November. We are so proud of our team, and especially our Head Chef, Joseph Fallowfield. We are grateful for the continued support from all our lovely customers who have dined with us. Read the full article here.

New Tasting Menu

Our latest menu centres around the wondrous season of winter;

‘the winter air bites yet each breath is tempered by freshness and invigoration.  Once bustling hives of nature seem desolate and asleep. Animals shelter in cosy boltholes and venture forth only for sustenance. This is not the season for stress and achievement. This is the season to take a step back, rest and invigorate your soul.’ - Joseph Fallowfield, Head Chef

What can we expect on this new menu?

This menu rejoices in the harvests of winter, from the familiar rich ingredients of game, such as wild pheasant, with pearl barley and burnt onion. To earthy flavours of truffle with leek, walnut, and local Davidstow cheddar. To the fresher notes of freshly caught monkfish from our favourite fisherman Tonks, paired with last year’s tomatoes. Or roasted to perfection cod, with zesty apple, refreshing cucumber, and spicy wasabi.

All of our ingredients are locally sourced, using only our favourite suppliers from around us here in The Lizard. Utilising everything our illustrious coastline has to offer. View the full menu here.

How and when can I book?

Fallowfields in winter is open Thursday - Saturday evenings. With menu options to either choose your journey with our, ‘tip your toes’ in three courses (£50), or completely ‘dive in’ for the full tasting menu (£70). So why not treat yourself this festive season, book your table here today.
